I didn't actually manage to get a plot ninja in before I gave up due to lack of motivation... (There are two cards in the excerpt, which lead me to believe I've lost track of where I was writing.


I didn't go back and look at where the other day ended, so this may actually overlap the previous chapter rather severely. Sorry.

Edit: It turns out I didn't get an earlier day's work posted, so now everything is caught up. No gaps. No overlaps.

After a very long break, I finally started working on A Deck of Plot Ninjas (2005 NaNoWriMo project) again earlier this week. It'll probably be a bit before I get the card list and links to the chapters updated, but you can at least enjoy the fruits of my labor.

The world works better when Joe and Nicola do what I tell them.

On a slightly amusing note, I walked away from this chapter in the middle. I couldn't get anywhere, so I channel surfed my way to the Classic Arts Showcase, who happened to be showing a ballet. I sat there watching the piece thinking that it was kind of funny that no one could accuse me of being off-task. I was sitting there watching a forty-year-old interpretation of the pas de deux in Coppelia.

For those interested, I did actually go looking for why Michael decided to give Nicola a stargazer lily.

One would think that when I lose net access (as I did in the windlashing of the past two days), I would suddenly sit down and crank out a ton of words. Instead, I sat around and read manga. It didn't help that my new Shojo Beat arrived, but I have two manga sitting on my bookshelf begging to be read!

I'm scared. My best friend has started reading my rough draft, and she actually likes Lindy! She is a much harsher critic of my work than even I am, and she never likes my main characters...but she likes Lindy.

I think Japan may have fried her brain. *wink*
